Katie had the ability to light up the room with her infectious smile and comforting eyes. Her outer beauty was as strong as her inner heart, and she could touch anyone’s heart from within.

 

Although young at heart, she held the wisdom of an old soul and was the epitome of “giving the shirt off her back.” Katie would often offer her lunch to a friend to avoid them feeling hungry. She enjoyed making smoothies, even if they weren’t always delicious they were always appreciated, and learning Tae Kwon Do which gave her courage.

Katie's hugs filled everyone with joy and she gained the love and respect of everyone she came into contact with. Classmates, teammates, coaches, teachers, kids and adults all agree that Katie was truly special.
